I'm Lucy, and I'm a Textile Designer, Ceramic Designer and Illustrator. Originally from England where I designed tableware patterns for iconic brand Wedgwood, I now live in Australia in a cute country township an hour north of Melbourne.
All my designs start life as hand-painted illustrations in inks and watercolours from my country studio, where my cat 'Jolly' and a cup of tea are always close by.
An essential feature in my work is the connection to old-style kitchen paraphernalia and the English love for drinking tea. An avid fossicker for kitchen curios, my assorted collection of vintage ceramics and retro tableware inspire my designs, along with bright cheery florals and geometric patterns.
Alongside my own designs, I also work as a freelance surface-pattern and textile designer specialising in multi-disciplinary design across a variety of creative platforms, including interior homewares, tableware, children’s products and logo design for various national and international clients.
